| Role | Our client is a growing Marketing Communications business and they are seeking to recruit a Non-Executive director to join the existing Board and support their continued growth in the travel and leisure sectors. The role will require attendance at Board meetings every 2 months for at least a day. You should also expect to be in touch with the Board in between board meetings in order to advise on ad hoc issues and share industry specific knowledge. The successful individual will be responsible for strengthening connections with the company's clients, partners and press contacts. As well as "opening doors" you will bring fresh thinking to new business development and inspire management through confidence. | ||
| Skills | Demonstrable experience of successfully improving and managing organisational performance in a board level (or equivalent) position A thorough knowledge of the travel industry and its key partners A profile builder and door opener Strategic understanding of the travel industry, in particular current trends in travel, independent travel components and packages Commercially and politically aware with the ability to understand and translate the impact of external and internal factors in the context of the business PR savvy Logical, supportive and persuasive management style Knowledgeable and authoritative Possess a strong and positive travel industry profile with a good reputation for honesty and integrity Straight talking with a good sense of fun and a positive "can-do" approach |
